My name is Thomas Garner. I am a professional classroom teacher with 20 years of experience. I have a BS college degree in education, with a minor in social studies. I graduated from college summa cum laude in June 1992 with a 4.0 GPA. I have AAA professional teaching certificates from FACCS and ACSI. I taught elementary grades 10 years and secondary grades 10 years.

I would appreciate the opportunity to apply for a staff teaching position with your school. I will be a valuable addition to your staff.

I have been in self-contained classrooms teaching elementary subjects as well as secondary classrooms teaching by grades and subjects. I am able to work well with students, parents and the school administration. I insist on a neat and clean classroom.

My philosophy of education is to provide a classroom where the students feel safe, secure and excited about learning. I can handle many classroom discipline situations with tact, counseling and parent involvement.. I believe the teacher is in charge of the class and is also a student guide toward learning and increasing knowledge. I am a neat, organized and self-disciplined person.

I am open to relocation for the right teaching position. I am currently working online on a master's degree in educational leadership and curriculum.
