Technology Developer Cover Letter Example



To Whom It May Concern:

I was a native of the Silicon Valley for the first 35 years of my life, and primarily resided in Sunnyvale, California. Throughout the 1980's, I worked in the hospitality industry, which provided me valuable opportunities to build and develop business relationships. After travelling and working abroad for the last 12 years, I've decided to return to the Silicon Valley, where my goal is to settle down and spend time with family, whilst enjoying a challenging position with a large and stable technology front runner.

In a 10 year period, I was fortunate to gain extensive experience, where I was employed with Tandy Corporation, Video Concepts, McDuff Electronics and Inwave Internet. This enabled me to increase my knowledge and exposure in the Computer and Internet technology field. Over the course of those years, had obtained vast experience in Network deployment, Project Management, Lan and Wan Consultation (covering various network solutions), New product deployment, Product launches, and Product marketing.

I chose to travel abroad after researching global employment demands in several countries of interest, in which I then distributed my resume to several Communications Companies in Sydney, Australia. Inside a week, I received a call from a large SAP Company, IntelliGroup Australia. They were looking to expand their product reach to existing SAP clients, and build a team to brainstorm on how to accomplish those initiatives, due to the extensive timeframe for SAP deployment and ROI. I was appointed the position in May 1999 with a 4 year working Visa, and moved to Australia. By the end of that year, I started introducing the Enterprise corporate companies to IntelliGroups extended technology services. The new products I presented were e-Commerce web production, Internal and External Portal and Intranet development, where I introduced and sold the services to existing clients. In addition, was responsible for coordinating both the deployment team and development personnel to collaborate execution of delivery for those services.

To further develop my professional growth, I obtained a position to expand the Channel Partner Program with Powertel, the 3rd largest Fibre Optic Network in Australia. During 2002 to 2006, my focus, dedication and team contribution had produced a positive impact that resulted in a 45% increase for the wholesale channel partners annual revenue during 2005/2006. In 2006, Powertel was bought out by NZ Telecom (AAPT Communications). At that time, made a decision to takeover a couple of smaller wholesale communications companies, BT Corporation and Dart Global, which were acquired by myself and several other partners, to become resellers of Telstra, Optus and AAPT services.
